Welcome to 2010! It's a new year, and a new decade, and with it come a whole host of exciting new things for Forte to be getting their teeth into. Download our latest newsletter here to find out what they've been up to so far, and what we've got in store between now and Easter.

Lots of Forte Members got very excited when they were told that they could have their photo taken as "JOseph" in the Cathedral - some of theme got even MORE excited when they were told they could be "Mary"! The Past weekend was a busy one for Forte, with performances in Rainham Precinct, at St. Margaret's Christmas Fair, and in the Lion's Tea Tent at the Rochester Dicken's Festival. On all three occasions, they came up trumps and proved that they are fast becoming St. Margaret's best Forte ever! Check out photos from the gigs here.

St. Margaret's Year 6 Boys Choir "Forte" has got through to the second round of the Heart FM Xmas Factor Competition. Listen to their entry and help us reach the final round by voting for us on the Heart FM website here.

This Christmas sees the first of our public engagements. We will be performing at the turning on of the Christmas lights in Rainham Precinct on Friday 4th December. We'll be on stage at 3:50pm. Please do come along and watch our debut public performance!The second event takes place on Saturday 5th December. We have been asked by the Gillingham Lions Club to sing in their tea tent as part of the Dickens

Forte did themselves proud last Friday as they led the School in Prayer using a Taize Chant. Check out photos from the service here. You can also see them in action here.

Forte's first public engagement will be as part of the St. Margaret's Junior School Harvest Service. The choir will be singing a Taize piece to lead the school in prayer! Join us on the afternoon of Friday 16th October as we celebrate Harvest together in the school hall - more details about timings to follow!

Today saw the first Rehearsal of the 2009-10 cohort of Forte! 26 boys from Year 6 turned up, and judging from the noise they made after just a short period of rehearsal, they could be our best choir yet! Click "Read More" to see a photo!
